Paul, Steven and Scott Ballard are three New Orleans natives with an unmatched work ethic and passion for the hospitality industry. From their first barista jobs at PJ’s Coffee alongside founder, Phyllis Jordan, to becoming successful college graduates and businessmen, these brothers gained valuable experience along the way and in 2001 they began building their empire, Ballard Brands, LLC. This hospitality and food service business was founded after their success in operating retail beverage franchises, Smoothie King and PJ’s Coffee, in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Georgia. Shortly afterward, Ballard Brands came up with an original restaurant concept, WOW Café (now WOW American Eats) and their business continues to expand annually. The Ballard brothers take pride in their dedication to giving back to the community and have held leadership positions in several organizations, including Fore Kids, Youth Service Bureau, GNO, Inc. NextGen Council, LSU Board of Supervisors, Louisiana Restaurant Association, St. Paul’s High School, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They are also all alumni of Tulane University and are proud donors to the athletic and academic departments on campus. Their Brands are internationally recognized with locations in three countries; however, these Louisiana locals have committed to their roots by keeping their corporate offices located here on the Northshore in Covington.
